Municipalities and the Public Benefit at the forefront of the industry
– We are, of course, both proud and happy that so many forward-looking public property owners have found our Planning Tool! But above all, it is fun that we have been given such a central role in the transition to a more proactive era in community-supporting property management. It feels honorable.
That’s what Philip Winkler, Head of Sales at Planima says, who has seen awareness of the industry’s challenges increase in recent years.
– These property owners have always had a clear incentive to think long-term. It is their mission to own and manage – not just maximize short-term returns. We have therefore long seen that we are a “Perfect Match” with the municipalities and public housing companies that have actually realized that there are better, more flexible and more profitable ways to manage the property portfolio.

The challenge has instead been to spread this insight around Sweden. Something that has gotten easier over time, partly because the new economic situation has forced many actors to question their processes and management strategies:
– I feel that there is a completely different awareness today compared to just a year ago. And this does not only apply to municipalities and public utility companies. The entire industry is moving towards realizing the value of more proactive management. In this way, it can be said that the public property owners have led the way for the entire property industry when it comes to property maintenance.
